The following are some questions I commonly hear from our clients. Have a question not covered here? Just drop me a line and I’ll gladly answer any question you may have.
Q: How much will it cost to build my site?
A: Every website is custom built to fit the specific needs of you the customer. For this reason, it’s not possible to price your specific project without first learning what your project entails.
As part of the discovery process, I will ask you to fill out a short questionnaire regarding your project. I’ll then schedule a phone conference where we can get to know each other and discuss your project. After our meeting, I’ll be able to quote a price for your project.
With that all said, the cost to build a custom website typically runs 2-4k.
Q: How long will to take to build my site?
A: Sites typically take 6 to 12 weeks to build. If you need a site sooner, just ask! Depending on my current project load it may be possible to speed up the process allowing us to deliver your site sooner. Please keep in mind, that to do this I will need all your content ready to go in its final format before I start.
Q: Are your websites mobile friendly?
A: The explosive growth in the use of smartphones and tablets has completely changed how websites are commonly being viewed. As a result, all of my new websites are built using “responsive” website construction. This means that the way the content is presented will alter depending on the type of device your website is being viewed on ensuring optimum viewing on either a desktop/laptop, a tablet, or a smartphone.
Q: What is your policy for support?
A: Each site comes with 30 days free support beginning at the date of the final payment. After that support is available on an hourly basis.
Q: What browsers do you support?
A: Websites are tested to support Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari. The standard browser guarantee covers the vast majority typical visitors! If you require additional browser support just ask. Additional browser testing and any possibly needed modifications are available at an extra charge.
Q: Do you require a deposit before starting a web design project?
A: The industry norm of a 50% deposit is required before starting a project, with the remainder due upon the successful completion of the project.
